A well-established and growing packaging company seeks a talented Project Engineer for its Forest City, NC plant, with 20% travel.

Must have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.

Must have 3 years related experience.

Requires Machinist experience.

Must have tool room experience.

Must know how to evaluate tooling.

Should have advanced computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, AutoCAD, project management software etc.).

The selected candidate will, under minimal supervision, be responsible for conceiving, developing, implementing and writing procedures for entire engineering projects.   These duties include documentation, parts selection and specifications construction, debugging, installation and internal customer interface.   He/she will interface with division management on strategic technical issues.   Safety and health considerations are paramount in this position.   Also important is that this role be a model for TQM practices as displayed by the use of TQM tools.   He/she will direct drafters, designers, and technicians assigned to projects, and obtain outside resources as necessary.   He/she will originate projects for new or modified products and will make branch plant trips or vendor visits as required.   He/she will be capable of mentoring junior personnel.

Salary range is $80,000.-$85,000 with partial relocation.

Candidates must be US Citizens or Green Card holders.
