A company doing business globally in the defense and aerospace markets seeks a talented Operations Manager.
Requires 4 years of operations experience.
Requires production planning experience, flow line.
Must have a background in manufacturing, preferably low volume high mix electronics.
Requires continuous improvement experience.
Must have a Bachelor's degree.
The selected candidate will manage supervisors who manage groups in manufacturing and scheduling. May also supervise new product introduction. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; also directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and solving problems. He/she will coordinate manufacturing support resources (engineering, HR, quality, marketing, customer service, and materials) to ensure operations objectives are met. He/she will assist in ensuring the company's Affirmative Action Program is implemented. He/she will participate on the Safety Committee. Responsibilities include providing data forecasts to the General Manager to assure monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue and margin objectives are attained. The selected candidate will be expected to lead in developing a culture of continuous improvement, incorporating ISO 9001 and SPC. He/she will deliver on customer requirements, P&L results, growth, and improvement of the cost structure.
Salary range is $100,000.-$125,000. with a negotiable sign-on bonus and partial relocation.
