A Regional Health Center seeks a talented Laboratory Director for its site in Ottumwa, Iowa.

Must have a BA/BS in medical technology or a scientific discipline.  MBA or MA/MS preferred.

Must have 5 years of Supervisory experience.

Must have a strong knowledge of accreditation and regulatory requirements.

Prefer 8 years of experience in a hospital or reference lab setting.

The successful candidate will supervise laboratory management and administrative staff.   He/she will set the overall strategy and vision for the laboratory.   Building a laboratory culture, he/she will set the tone and be responsible for successful team building.   He/she will ensure the financial strategy and ensure regulatory compliance and accrediting agency compliance.  He/she will be responsible for the growth of the laboratory by recruiting/retaining clients.   Employee retention will be a responsibility as will the day-to-day delivery of excellent customer service.   Coordination with other Departments is important.    Should have a strong understanding of laboratory and personnel management (CLIA, HIPPA, CAP, CMS, OIG, FMLA, ADA etc.   He/she will exhibit strong computer skills, project management, and change management skills.

The salary range is $97,205-$136,087. plus negotiable signing and  partial relocation payments
